Turtles are wonderful animals in the world. They have more than 350 species. Turtles body encased in a shell which consists of 2 parts. It is made of bone and cartilages. The top part of the turtle’s shell is called a carapace and a bottom part of the turtle’s shell consists with plastron. The carapace (top part of the shell) and plastron (bottom part of the shell) usually join along the sides of the body, creating a rigid skeletal box. This unique shell acts as a protective covering to the turtles by providing safe from the predators.
