Darkness! – Look how beautiful the darkness is,

Embracing our souls – In the toughest times of our lives

Sky! – Oh look how empty the sky is,

No moon, no stars – A lonely night survives

I looked up – Saw nothing but gloom,

I looked down – Saw everything but bloom

How many lonely nights – Do I have to go through,

To sight a starry night again? – I wish I knew

Countless nights perhaps – Not a lot maybe,

I’ll be alone and melancholy – Well, let it be!

Embrace this night, I will do – And the nights to come, without much ado,

Till eternity, if I must do – To see that one starry night, perhaps with you…
