Bitter Truth

Share

World goes round and round,
People and places lost and found,
Hi’s and goodbyes; we end up underground,
Until then we hang around.

Rich remains rich forever,
While poverty be poor as ever,
Neither matters; if you are silly or clever,
Dollars will take you higher and higher.

Power blossoms while the talents hide,
Pretty much credit for looks and pride,
Caste, creed let the world divide,
Values and qualities set aside.

Love is blind; it’s the truth they say,
Fair faces though the hearts are grey,
Beauty empowers day by day,
While the good hearts are kept far away.

Days and nights; years go by,
Laughs and cries; we live and die,
Since they’re sweet we accept lies,
Truth is bitter; I don’t know why.
