Mind operating as the fastest and most accurate computer in me, processes all my soul with a blink of eyes. What draws our inner being? It’s the emotions painted by our minds that we water everyday within us. Emotions are the seeds that germinate in the fertile ground, the mind. But if not managed properly it can always make us fall in hot water, becoming the biggest weed in the fertile ground.

What is emotional dysregulation?

It is simply termed as a condition where our emotions go out of control. When all our emotions pile up in us creating no space for them to be dumped, they will trigger the emotional wounds underlying which are written in our nerves. Once triggered, they splash on us making it so difficult to select the emotions in which attention should be paid to and not. It bombs out all that past trauma and bad memories that everyone of us have had as a cinematic script in front of our eyes. Once it happens it focuses all our emotional energy to one point, which i term as the focus point. It can be the first time you are hearing the term EMOTIONAL DYSREGULATION. But trust me, it has a lot to deal with.

How to know whether you are emotionally dysregulated?

  • Lack of consciousness
  • Losing your focus
  • Extreme uncontrollable anger
  • Extreme mood swings
  • Hormonal peaks
  • Shivering and panicked
  • Sweating

How to cope with?

  • Writing down all your thoughts on paper can always make you understand the picture of your own emotions and analyze on them.
  • Speaking your emotions with your pals or any trusted person can make your pile shorter.
  • Accepting that you are emotionally dysregulated can put down any confusions.
  • Having daily mirror interviews of yourself can build a clear and better picture of you in your own mind.
  • Having a pocket notebook with you can make you to pen your daily instaneous emotions.
  • Creating your own space can free up stress in you.
