How many long conversations does it take
For a desirable friendship to be made?
Funny that a single moment could break
That bond, all to be crushed and unmade.
The sincerity you poured, was truly a mistake
It only hurt more, when you were betrayed,
Who cares if your heart is as large as a lake
You’ll still be cut down as if you are brocade.
Is it too late now, that love, to retake?
Solitude than disloyalty is always a good trade,
People’s hearts are rarely open or opaque
Leaving all this behind is a card well played.
