In a brief parting, the Mask unveiled,
Heart’s secrets exposed, hopes impaled
Disappointment’s sting, a bitter strife,
Abandonment’s cold, unwelcome knife
Yearning for hope, seeking validation’s grace,
To shed the Monster’s wretched face
Guard lowered, judgment swiftly descended,
Weight of scrutiny, hopes suspended
In a moment of despair, a question arose,
”Can you save me?” in shadows it chose
Her answer, cold and cleverly spun,
”I would never,” ties severed, undone
Echoes linger of that revealing hour,
Unmasking truths, wielding power
Yet, in the dance of hopes and fears,
Resilience blooms, wiping away tears
