The sky was bright that night for the faculty of science, not because Venus and Jupiter were drawn closer but because of “25th Rotaract District Assembly” organised by Rotaract Club of Wellawatte & Rotaract Club of Centennial United with the Rotaract District 3220, was held at Ramada Hotel, Colombo where the rotaract club of the faculty won 8 awards for the projects carried out.Event started with the arrival of chief guest and dignitories Rotary district governor Rtn. George Jesudasan, immediate past District governor Rtn. Gowri Rajan. Installation ceremony took place of District Rotaract representative Rtr. Sathiyendra T. Sangam and his board of directors. It was a night which made all the rotaractors of faculty of science be proud.Our past president Rtr Madhuka Wijesiri was also induced in to the new boards as the joint director of public relations.He was the first from our club to serve in the district in last six years. During the ceremony, Rotaract Club of Faculty of Science, UoC was greatly appreciated out of all clubs in district 3220 Sri Lankan Maldives for the effort made in year 2014/2015.

It has been already proved that Rotaract club of faculty of science University of Colombo is one of the most active and best club in university.
It has not been easy to gain such an huge accomplishment if not all the sacrifices and effort and leadership of Rtr. Nadeesha Ketakumbura, president of the club and Rtr. Roshale Fernando, secretary of the club who even won the award for best secretary and all the other board members.Without any doubt all the board members have given their biggest support together with the members of the club for this great achievement.
